Out With the Old

Scientists tell us that condoms are highly effective when used properly. But that’s the catch… ‘used properly’. Even if you wear condoms with the best intentions, things can happen that reduce their effectiveness – and your pleasure. At Sensis™, we believe there’s a better way for condoms to work. There are lots of reasons why, but here’s our top 5:

1. Condoms have a definite
inside and outside.
But in the midst of excitement (and low
lighting!), many people start to apply
the condom wrong-side out. When this
happens, the actual outside of the
condom is touching his skin.. so when
the mistake is caught and the condom
is reversed, it now touches his partner’s
skin – making STI transmission a real
possibility. Think about it!

2. Who wants a mess?
If you start putting on a condom
backwards, then flip it to get it on right,
lubricant and a latex smell can wind up
all over your hands as you start rolling
it down. Nothing sexy about that.

3. Fingernails are a condom’s natural enemy.
All quality condoms are strong… but they’re thin on purpose, and are no match for a sharp fingernail from you or your partner. When being unrolled into
place by hand, holes and tears are
possible, and of course are a very
bad idea.

4. No room (or too much)
at the tip.
We all know it’s important to leave
the correct amount of space at the
tip (reservoir) of the condom, but
most of us have no idea what that
amount actually is. But the stakes
are steep. Leave too much or too little, and the condom’s effectiveness can be compromised.

5. Too much time in the huddle.
Momentum is one of the keys to
sexual pleasure. No one wants to
lose the mood or feel excitement
lessen while fiddling around to
get a condom to cooperate. Just
like the condom itself, the
experience of putting it on should
be transparent. The goal: pleasure
without distraction.

These challenges have been out there
for many years. And finally, one
revolutionary condom design has taken
them all on – providing a better answer
for each. The new Sensis™. Read on
